Changing Youth Behavior Through Social Marketing
PSI is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of low- income populations around the world. PSI operates AIDS prevention, family planning, and maternal and child health social market- ing programs in more than 70 developing countries. PSI uses commercial marketing techniques to provide affordable health prod- ucts and services through private sector out- lets, along with a variety of communication techniques to encourage healthy behavior among target populations. AIDSMark is a 10- year, worldwide program, started in 1997, that uses social marketing to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS and other STIs.
