The Fifteenth Assembly of the Heads of State and
Government of the African Union took place from the
25th to 27th of July 2010 in Kampala, Uganda. The
theme of the Assembly was ‘Maternal, Infant and Child
Health and Development in Africa’. His Excellency Dr
Bingu Wa Mutharika, President of the Republic of
Malawi and Chairman of the African Union, made the
opening remarks on ‘Maternal, Infant and Child Health
and Development in Africa’
