Principles of Information Security
Principles of Information Security, Fourth Edition, is structured to follow a model called the security systems development life cycle (or SecSDLC). This structured methodology can be used to implement information security in an organization that has little or no formal informa- tion security measures in place. SecSDLC can also serve as a method for improving established information security programs. The SecSDLC provides a solid framework very similar to that used in application development, software engineering, traditional systems analysis and design, and networking. This textbook’s use of a structured methodology is intended to provide a sup- portive but not overly dominant foundation that will guide instructors and students through an examination of the various components of the information domains of information secu- rity. To serve this end, the book is organized into seven sections and twelve chapters.
