Master Thesis Health Care Management
In order to complete the Master Health Care Management you are required to write a scientific Master thesis on a topic related to one of the subjects covered in the HCM Master programme. The objective of the Master thesis is to show that the student is able to perform scientific research individually and to report the study and its conclusions in a transparent and scientifically sound way. The thesis has a workload of 15 ECTS and thus constitutes a major part of the curriculum. This course book provides basic guidance about the process of writing a thesis and the requirements to be met.
In this stage of the programme you are expected to integrate and apply a range of skills and knowledge. From experience we know that graduation work often is a stumbling block and make take longer than the scheduled time period. To prevent delay we have opted for group sessions, which means you are not supervised individually but in a group of about 4-6 students. Each thesis group concentrates on a specific theme. The topics of the theses will be in line with each other. The themes conform to the final attainment targets of the programme. Nine sessions with the thesis supervisor are planned, each of which will focus on one aspect of the thesis. The thesis writing process will be better 'manageable' in this way. Group work moreover has the advantage of factual and social support from fellow students.
