CONCEPT OF ENVIRONMENTALLY-CONSCIOUS STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
The aim of this paper is to introduce a strategic management concept that is focused on environmental consciousness. First, starting from the concept of environmental consciousness and its interpretation at a corporate level, it determines the external and internal factors of companies’ strategic positioning. In the next step, it summarizes the possibilities of formulating strategic alternatives based on strategic behaviour and strategic orientation. Then, it describes how the individual strategic alternatives can be achieved in different contexts. Finally, a case study presents the “green” factors of positioning which can be found in companies. The case study also focuses on which environmentally-conscious strategy is characteristic of the company, or rather which areas should be made “greener” in order to create an environment-oriented corporate strategy.
