THE QUEST FOR INFORMATION SYSTEMS SUCCESS IN SAUDI ARABIA. A CASE STUDY
The objective of this study is to explore how Information systems (IS) success is defined and perceived by a group
of managers in a public university in Saudi Arabia. The results show that culture does influence IS success
perception which poses problems particularly to organizations that decide to implement Enterprise resource planning
systems (ERP). A misfit between the user IS perception and the built-in success assumptions of the package is
highly probable. Our case is a public university in Saudi Arabia that decided to implement an ERP system.
