Advanced Financial Reporting Guide
With the Blackbaud FundWare™ Advanced Financial Reporting (AFR) feature, you can
create financial reports to meet any of your organization’s reporting needs. AFR is
flexible and powerful, allowing you to customize the format and content of your
financial data reports. After you define a set of reports, you can produce any report or
range of reports as often as needed.
AFR extracts and reports information from General Ledger–Project/Grant to report
summary balances and/or detailed journal transactions from periods. You can also report
information based on a range of periods, such as beginning, ending, year-to-date, and
period-to-date balances.
When you create your report with AFR, you will start with a blank page. As you define
the report, you will specify report headings, columns, and rows. You will also define
what financial information to be included in your report and the accounts from which
AFR will extract the information.
To help you learn more about AFR, we have included nine sample reports, SAMP1
through SAMP9, in the sample divisions (i.e., 95 and 96). Use these reports to view
many of the options available in AFR, as a basis for new reports, or to experiment as
you learn more about the system.
